Bread and ??
Chanced upon a meaningful website today: http://www.breadnwater.com/I think the webmasters are Christians. Or so it seems from their guestbook comments. They have sent a powerful message about poverty. Poverty is a real issue in the world. While we live in our little world of comfort and competition, fighting among ourselves sometimes, we tend to forgrt that the world are made for others who are less fortunate too. Looking at the photos kinda made me think twice about my own life and the things I do. I shouldn't be complaining too much.
Koh's been doing volunteer work for a while. I can never appreciate how and why he can willingly sacrifice his Sats for all that. The idea just doesn't appeal to me. Ever since I've started work especially, I always feel tired. Sleeping has turned from rest-time to a hobby. Haa... Sat afternoons are my favourite! I get to do what I love most at the moment - sleep! I need hours and hours of sleep. No matter how much I sleep, I dun seem to have enough!
The last 2 weeks had been very busy times. Rushing videos, books and files... The mad rush's got me the flu bug again. Conscientiously drinking lots of water and vitamin C to make it go away soon. Don't like to be sick for too long. It's a waste of my time. I'll be sleepy, sleepy, sleeping, sleeping, sleeping... And the next few weeks are busy times too! How to finish my work then?!
Got in touch with Nick lately. Kinda missed my friends HK, Jovin, Eric, from phy class. Wonder how are they doing now? Life's going so fast that everyone's busy with their own stuff + physical distance = hardly any chance to meet up. Tml we're gg for a cuppa. Got some catching up to do. Will update my blog again. :)
Was looking at cars, then today's news says COE prices went up again. Now decided to use the money for Europe tour. Always had this plan, that plan, so many plans, but to fulfill a plan needs so much money. Haiz... So one step at a time. See the world 1st. That's more important. Who knows if I'll still have any chance in future? Futures are difficult to predict. Koh always says that he'll want to volunteer in another part of the world some day. I'm more down to earth. What about our finances? What's going to happen if we have a child next time? Who's going to take care of our parents? Sometimes, we can't just do anything we want. Whatever our actions, there are consequences and there are circumstances that bound us. And situations change almost all the time. It's difficult trying to catch up with time sometimes. Time flies so fast u can't catch them! ;pUltimately, when we are grown up, bread and butter issues dominate our thinking and choice of actions. Once in a while, it's good to have bread and water instead of bread and butter. I can't afford to have butter all the time. Water is good. Plain yet simple.
